Artcurial Motorcars is partnering with The Peninsula Paris for Automobile Legends, an exceptional new auction taking place during Paris Classic Car Week. Sixty-five collector cars will be offered for auction alongside Jean Alesi’s iconic Ferrari F92A Formula 1.
From 24 to 27 January 2026, the 65 automobiles included in the sale will be exhibited in the private garage of The Peninsula Paris, specially transformed into a temporary gallery. The auction will be held on Tuesday 27 January at 2pm in the hotel’s Grand Salon, offering collectors a unique experience at the crossroads of Parisian lifestyle and automotive passion.
Each year, The Peninsula Paris hosts the Best of the Best award ceremony, which honors the most beautiful car in the world among the winners of international concours d’élégance. 1992 Ferrari F92A #136 of Jean Alesi
A legendary Ferrari, guardian of a bygone era.
At the end of the 1992 Formula 1 World Championship, the F92A #136 was presented to Jean Alesi by the Ferrari team. After a full overhaul and two laps of the famous Fiorano circuit by the driver himself, the car took pride of place in the gym of his villa near Avignon, where it has been displayed for nearly 40 years.
This remarkable piece of history has remained untouched, complete with its iconic V12 engine and all its original mechanical and electronic components. It is a genuine time capsule, having never been raced since leaving Maranello in 1992.
A symbol of an era when Formula 1 relentlessly pushed the boundaries of performance, this racing machine, powered by a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V12 producing 750 bhp, represents the last generation of Ferraris built in the pure spirit of speed, before stricter regulations reshaped the pinnacle of motorsport.
« This Ferrari F92A represents a part of my life — a symbol of my passion for Ferrari and of an era when everything was about going fast. I hope that, in the hands of a true enthusiast, it will return to the track. In any case, it will always be welcome at the Circuit Paul Ricard — which means I might see it again, this time in full action! »

In2023, he was appointed President of the Circuit Paul Ricard and continues to be a natural ambassador for motorsport, sincere, charismatic, and deeply human. One of the most beloved drivers of his generation.
