Charity Auction for Aviation Sans Frontières at Artcurial

© Aviation Sans Frontières tous droits réservés

On Wednesday June 18th, 2025 Artcurial will be holding a charity auction in support of the Aviation Sans Frontières Association, under the patronage of actor and pilot José Garcia, in parallel with the Paris Air Show.

To support the charity's humanitarian missions, numerous artists, celebrities, top sportsmen and women and companies have come together to offer unique experiences and exceptional items for sale. Among the top lots: a weightless flight for two on board the Airbus Zero G, accompanied by a T-shirt worn in space by Thomas Pesquet, a Patrouille de France helmet, and John Travolta's captain's uniform, signed by the actor. Unique experiences such as a microlight flight with migratory birds or a flight in a Curtiss P-40E Warhawk complete this exceptional sale. Under the hammer of Stéphane Aubert, the funds raised by the auction will go to finance a worldwide project: the running of a hospital aircraft, a mobile care unit to assist isolated and often endangered populations.

For 45 years, Aviation Sans Frontières has worked relentlessly in France and around the world to bring assistance to the most vulnerable populations. As an independent, non-political organization with humanitarian aims, it uses the expertise of its pilots, technicians and volunteers to carry out a wide range of missions: emergency medical evacuations, transporting personnel and humanitarian freight, accompanying sick children, providing medical assistance, and training young people through programs such as Les Ailes de l'Avenir. The association works with numerous NGOs and international institutions, including the World Food Program, the Red Cross, Handicap International and Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.

Alongside the auction, Aviation Sans Frontières will be presenting its projects at the Paris Air Show, including humanitarian drones, a dispensary aircraft with Médicaéro doctors, and a Nynja microlight assembled by young people from the Ailes de l'Avenir project, which will be for sale.

To support these initiatives, several leading figures from the worlds of aviation, entertainment and the arts have responded to Aviation Sans Frontières' call by donating unique items, career souvenirs or extraordinary experiences : a session on one of Air France's professional flight simulators; a flight in an electric plane over the Alps with André Borschberg; or a day with Catherine Maunoury, multiple world aerobatics champion. The auction will also include iconic items from the history of aeronautics: a rare Falcon wind tunnel model donated by Dassault Aviation, the Messerschmitt KR200 flown by Coluche for Nitro in 1983, a Grumman S-2 Tracker blade donated by Pierre Farman, and a Breitling AVI ref. 765 1953 re-edition, a limited edition specially engraved for the occasion.

This ensemble is completed by a group of artworks related to the world of aeronautics, including two series of five acrylic paintings on canvas depicting the Rafale Solo Display livery, signed by Arthur Thomas and Régis Rocca and the result of more than 600 hours' work: two original plates from the “Buck Danny Classic” and “Buck Danny Origines” albums; and the Rafale (Bleu-Blanc-Rouge) photographic triptych by Axel Ruhomaully.

Since 1980, Aviation Sans Frontières has been using the skills of the aeronautical world for humanitarian purposes. With its own aircraft, a commercial air network and partnerships with flying clubs, it carries out essential missions in France and abroad. As a public-interest NGO, it provides vital logistical support to many humanitarian organizations, transporting emergency aid and vulnerable people around the world. With its 800 volunteers, it responds to around twenty humanitarian requests every day, helping to break down isolation and restore hope. It is the first NGO to hold a European Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and meets the same standards as any certified airline.
