On Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, the sale La Malouinière du Bos, A French Passion, organized by Artcurial alongside FAB Paris, achieved a total of €2,8M, including fees, under the hammer of Matthieu Fournier. This auction featured the dispersal of the collection from an 18th-century residence located just outside Saint-Malo.

Among the highlights, the oil on canvas Allégorie de la Poésie by Élisabeth Louise Vigée Le-Brun was preempted by the Musée Fabre in Montpellier for €328,000. The set of four oils on canvas attributed to Jeremias van Winghe sold for €341,120, while Moïse sauvé des eaux by Andrea Casali reached €104,960. Roses dans un vase en verre by Jan Frans Van Dael realized €137,760, and La jeune espiègle by François-Hubert Drouais totaled €150,880, including fees.
The sale also highlighted remarkable works of decorative art, such as a pianoforte from the third quarter of the 19th century (movement by Steinway & Sons, New York; case by Guèret Frères, Paris), which sold for €32,800; a rare country-style fish kettle from the kitchens of Emperor Napoleon I, taken from the Battle of Waterloo (1815), which fetched €53,792; and an important late 18th–early 19th century cannon, probably from the capture of Tonkin (1883–1886), which sold for €36,736.
