Purchased new by our collector, this car now has 66,372 km on the clock. Thanks to regular and careful maintenance at Mercedes or by the owner's own mechanic, including a major overhaul in 2017 at 59,000 km, it is in enviable condition. The grey paintwork seems to be flawless and the interior is superb, with its magnificent exclusive raspberry Nappa leather upholstery and immaculate dashboard.

According to the original order form, signed with the Ravé dealership in Avrainville, Essonne, it comes with a number of attractive options, including a tyre pressure monitoring system, Distronic distance control, a fire extinguisher, storage nets, a Bose HiFi system, velour carpets, a garage door remote control, TV tuner, etc. This extremely well-preserved car is being sold with its service book, a file documenting the history of invoices and the original purchase slip.

Like all AMG-prepared Mercedes, the SL 55 was at the top of its class at the time thanks to its almost 480 bhp V8 engine and, despite its bourgeois appearance, it had dragster-like acceleration. It also had the advantage of a body with a roof that folded into the boot, transforming this elegant coupé into a seductive cabriolet. The car we are presenting, in impeccable condition, is a credit to this luxurious, high-performance model, and offers enthusiasts the chance to admire its open bodywork and exceptional V8 engine.
