French title
Chassis no. WP0ZZZ96ZPS470204

- Options from Porsche’s Exclusive department

- Probably one of only two Speed Yellow Turbo 3.6 cars built without a sunroof

- Less than 106,000km from new

- Recent work, superb interior

Supplied new on 30 August 1993 by Porsche Hanover in Germany, this car was finished in ‘Speed Yellow’, with options including a 92-litre fuel tank, a windscreen with a tinted band at the top, and electrically adjustable sports seats. In addition, it had no sunroof, which is extremely unusual. As the option codes 9981 and 9991 show, it passed through the ‘Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’ department. The service book indicates that it was serviced regularly in Germany before coming to France around 2005, when it was bought by the founder of the Porsche Club Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. In 2006, with 69,007km on the clock, it was serviced by MGC Propulsion and then, in 2010, it was bought by its last-but-one owner, who sent it to Freisinger Motorsport that year for a service at 86,076km.

In November 2022, it was purchased by its current owner, a supercar enthusiast from Alsace who is very particular about the condition of his cars. He had several jobs carried out: the Speedline wheels were refurbished by a specialist who kept the original wheels; the engine oil seals and fuel system were overhauled and a new clutch fitted by Porsche Strasbourg (with bills for a total of 8000 €); the ECU was replaced and the fuel injection set up by Patrick Pugin-Art Restauration (bills for 5300 €); the interior was restored by Rénov Cuir; four new tyres were fitted; it was completely repainted to the waistline and a protective film then applied; and finally, a sports exhaust was fitted. Signs of a repair can be seen in the front luggage compartment, around the left wing, but the car’s appearance is very flattering.

With the odometer now reading 105,900km, the Porsche reflects the care that has been lavished on it. In its magnificent original colour and with an immaculate interior, it comes with its service book, full toolkit, jack and ‘space saver’ spare wheel. With its 360bhp engine and in this particular specification, it is undoubtedly a very desirable example of one of the most powerful air-cooled Porsches ever built.
