From a family of major collectors from Brescia
- High-quality, older restoration
- Rare and sought-after model
- Elegant styling, luxurious finish
- A timeless classic
Initially destined for the North American market, as the Certificate of Origin issued in May 2021 by the Centro Storico Fiat confirms, this Lancia Aurelia B24S (‘S’ for ‘sinistra’, or LHD) left the factory on 27 October 1958. It was finished in ‘Grigio’ with ‘Pelle rossa’ upholstery, the same colours it sports today. The car later returned to Italy, probably in the 1980s, and in 1989, it belonged to a major collector from Bergamo, who sent it to the leading Lancia specialist at the time, the Kappa workshop, for a full restoration. In 1995, it was bought by our client, a major collector from Brescia, and since then, it has stayed with the family.
Today, it is in magnificent condition. The iridescent grey paintwork is perfectly suited to Pinin Farina’s timeless design of one of the most beautiful convertibles ever built, captured for posterity in many films, including Dino Risi's The Easy Life, starring Vittorio Gassman and Jean-Louis Trintignant. The interior is superb, with its red leather seats, painted metal dashboard and two large dials in front of the driver. The well looked-after engine compartment houses the 2.5-litre V6 that gives the car the lively and flexible performance befitting its status as a luxury sporting convertible.
Rare (only 512 were built), elegant, technically sophisticated and in excellent condition, this Aurelia B24S is an opportunity to buy one of the most iconic Italian cars of the 1950s.
