- Sold new in France by Franco-Britannic
- Original engine, matching numbers
- Ferrari Classiche certification
This Ferrari 250 GTE left the factory in Maranello on 30 April 1963; it was finished in ‘Rosso’ with a black Connolly leather interior. It was delivered new in France and sold through the importer Franco-Britannic at Levallois-Perret, outside Paris. The sales invoice is in the car’s file and its first owner, Interocean Airways, based in Paris, registered it on 17 May 1963. The car then changed hands several times, in France and Luxembourg, where it was registered ‘29737’ during the 2000s. Its current owner bought it in February 2023, and in July that year he sent it to Dino Sport in Clarbec for a major service (billed for 6200 €).
It should be noted that the car has been certified by Ferrari Classiche, who confirmed the presence of its original engine (‘matching numbers’). As well as this precious certificate, it comes with a report by the specialist Marcel Massini, its original warranty booklet (in the name of Interocean Airways) and old registration documents dating from its time in Luxembourg.
With its handsome burgundy paintwork and lightly patinated black leather upholstery, this car does justice to this 2+2 coupé, whose combination of timeless, classical good looks and prestigious V12 engine cannot fail to appeal to enthusiasts.
