- Only 4200km from new, sold new in Paris
- Up-to-date, stamped service book, only two owners from new
- Superb mechanical and cosmetic condition
First shown at the 2004 Geneva Motor Show, the roadster version of the Murciélago was derived from the coupé of the same name and retained its performance and handling, while intensifying its aggressive design and heightening the sensations experienced when driving it. It had a mid-rear mounted 6.5-litre V12 and the transmission followed Lamborghini’s usual layout with the gearbox located in front of the engine. The rear differential was ‘integrated’ into the powertrain and the car had permanent 4WD with a central viscous coupling, allowing optimal weight distribution with clear positive effects on grip, braking and handling. In order to preserve the beauty of its sharp lines, its aerodynamic devices were retractable and were only deployed when required. Capable of 320kph (160 with the hood in place!) with its 580bhp V12 and four-wheel drive, this radical supercar was nonetheless relatively easy to drive, a fact acclaimed by the press at the time. The Murciélago roadster is a rare car, with only 435 of this version built. This example was sold new by Lamborghini Paris in June 2008, as is confirmed by its service book, which has been duly stamped for five services; at present, it is undergoing a general service by Lamborghini at Puteaux. It was purchased from its first owner by an important family of collectors in the south of France who have used it very little. The combination of colours, which suits its angular lines especially well, was chosen by its first owner: yellow for the bodywork and black leather with yellow stitching for the interior. It has never been repainted and comes with its service book, hood and fitted cover. Our test drive confirmed how easy it is to use its six-speed e-Gear automated manual gearbox, which allows you to make the most of the car’s performance, but above all to enjoy to the full the raging V12 a few inches from your ears!
Impact on VAT:
As the vehicle has been driven less than 6,000 kilometers, it can be considered “as new” for VAT purposes in certain European countries. Please contact your local tax authorities for confirmation prior to purchase. For a French buyer, a VAT of 20% will be charged on the hammer price and the premium.
