When he joined Scuderia Ferrari in 2010, Fernando Alonso already had an impressive track record, having won 2 Drivers' World Championship titles with Renault F1 in 2005 and 2006. He got the 2010 season off to a flying start by winning the first Bahrain Grand Prix. On 9 May, at the Spanish Grand Prix, he finished second on the podium.
His first season with Ferrari was crowned with success, as he finished runner-up in the 2010 world championship.
