Conceived by the ENAC company (Exploitation Nouvelle Automobile et de Carrosserie) and marketed by Citroën as an optional extra, this kit – also known as the ENAC – made it possible to convert the 2CV saloon into a light van, thanks to an enlarged boot opening incorporating the rear window, a flat rear floor achieved by moving the spare wheel into the engine compartment and a folding rear seat.

Examples fitted out in this way are particularly sought after today, especially the AZAM version, which was better equipped than the AZL. Registered on 20 December 1965 to a farmer from the Eure-et-Loir, who bought it from a dealer in Chartres, this example is one such model. Drawn to it by its well-preserved condition, its current owner set about a restoration including replacing the chassis with a new item, while taking care to keep as many original parts as possible. The result is remarkable: this 2CV is patinated and still has its first registration number painted on the body. It is complete with all the accessories specific to the model and still has its owner’s manual, as well as a warranty card showing that it had covered 577km at the time of its first service in March 1966! This rare and interesting model comes with a file of invoices; it has kept its soul, making it a desirable item for the collector.
