Comment:

The goddess Neith originates from the city of Sais, in the Nile Delta.

A creator goddess of the world with the help of her seven arrows, mistress of weaving, domestic arts, and women, protector of sleep, sarcophagi, and canopic jars, her cult was maintained from the Predynastic Period to the end of the Old Kingdom, then declined in strength until the rise of the Saite rulers under the 24th Dynasty. Her favor was particularly great during the 26th Dynasty, due to the rise of the princes of Sais in the Delta.
