Collection of a meticulous Porsche enthusiast from the south-west of France
- Matching numbers
- Sought-after Roadster Super 90 version
- Fully restored
- Elegant colour combination
This 356 Roadster is a model with highly desirable specifications, especially in the Super 90 version. It is even more exceptional given that it’s barely been driven since an impressive restoration that was completed in 2017 by Porsche specialist Serge Heitz. An inspection report confirms that all mechanical parts were restored to a very high standard: the engine, gearbox and suspension were all rebuilt. Likewise, the electrical system, brakes and shock absorbers are all new.
In silver grey colour, the bodywork was restored after being fully stripped down, with particular care given to door panels’ adjustments. Chrome parts were restored to new and the chrome wheels elegantly complement this roadster. The substructure was also restored and treated against corrosion. To contrast beautifully with the silver bodywork, the red leather upholstery matches the carpets and the hood cover. An appraisal report at the end of 2017 included with this 356 estimated the value of this roadster at €380,000, reflecting the quality of the restoration. It has barely been used since then and is therefore in a condition close to what it was after it was just restored.
Succeeding the Convertible D, this 356 Roadster recalls the pure lines of a Speedster while offering more comfort and practicality thanks in particular to the hood and retractable windows. The increase in power offered by the 90-horsepower engine enhances the driving experience. Examples of the Roadster equipped with the Super 90 engine, as well as having a high-level restoration carried out, are rare. This is a wise choice for any collector looking for an elegant roaster that offers sporting driving thrills that have forged the reputation of the brand.
