- No reserve
This elegant saloon was registered on 22 October 1963 and is in excellent condition, to its original specification: grey paintwork (AC 1026) combined with a black crackle-finished dashboard and upholstery in ‘Rouge Andalou’ and grey. The body is very sound and the paint, probably an older respray, has a slight patina which is most attractive. The same feeling prevails inside the car, since everything is in good condition. The records for its safety inspections show that the odometer was reading 44,473km in 1993 and has increased steadily to the 57,628km now recorded. In right armrest, the driver will find a Michelin guide from 1964, as well as a road map from the same period and the box of spare Norma bulbs specific to the model. In the glove compartment, the passenger will discover a wallet with road maps from the period, a French Highway Code and the original service instructions: truly a journey back in time. The engine is the original one: it has evidently been overhauled and runs well. Fitted with an accessory Commodor radio and the radiator muff for use in cold weather, this 404 is sure to delight many collectors.
