According to the production statistics for the 5HP, chassis no. 35552 left the factory in August 1924 (even though its registration document states that it was first registered in 1928). This example was bought by its current owner in 1966 as part of an estate sale. It is an interesting torpedo version with three offset seats, with the special feature that the passenger seat can be moved and folded to allow access to the third seat in the back! It is the rarest saloon version built on the 5HP chassis. It was the owner’s husband, a trained mechanic and collector, who took on the chassis-up restoration of the car. After this, it was only used for a few summer outings before being put into storage. It was entrusted to a mechanic in 2020 to be recommissioned, and again in 2026, but has not been driven in the intervening period and should be given a full service. Although the paintwork shows some reactions, as a whole it is well preserved and little expenditure should be needed before you can drive a car that is well known in France. Its bodywork, similar to the ‘Trèfle’ (or ‘Cloverleaf’) model, without actually being one, is sure to be a source of interest and amazement.
