- Versatile “Station Wagon” version
- 6-seater
- Refurbished by Simmonites
- An interesting restoration project
- No reserve
A 2013 article in Land Rover Classic featured this fine example, when it was tested by English actor and director Dominic Brunt. The article relates how this long wheelbase version had just been refurbished by renowned specialists Simmonites, including left-hand drive conversion for export. It was indeed purchased the following year by a major French collector, before its current owner acquired it in 2022. With the body painted the emblematic “Light Green”, and its famous “tropical roof” to reduce condensation, this model is powered by a Series III 4-cylinder petrol engine. Between 2020 and 2022, it underwent work to replace the water pump, fit new tyres and repaint some body parts. In 2025, the clutch was replaced. The most recent MOT done in June 2025 mentions that a re-test will be required due to perforating corrosion of the underbody; this will therefore need to be repaired before the vehicle can be driven again. With its two long inward facing bench seats, adding to the 6 front seats, this iconic off-roader (fitted with a tow bar) will take several of you off the beaten track.
