At BSA, names are rarely meaningless. In this case, “Victor” (“winner”) is a tribute to Jeffrey Smith’s 1964 Motocross World Champion title, after a final win in Spain at the last race of the season. The British rider repeated his performance the following year and, to capitalise on these successes, BSA launched the B44 Victor GP shortly after at the London Motor Show, which was inspired by the winning machine with its 441 cc single-cylinder engine with overhead valves.

More specifically influenced by the American market where “Scrambler” type machines were on trend, this particular Victor Special 1969 was more civilised with its lighting and its small silencer. And as it should be for an off-road motorcycle, It remained however extremely simple and light, with a kick start and long-travel suspensions.

Registered in Udine in Italy, this minimalist and flawlessly preserved motorcycle will delight an off-road machine enthusiast with a strong personality, ready to enjoy sensations provided by its big single cylinder engine.
