Cette 2600 Spider fut livrée neuve le 16 juillet 1964 à son premier propriétaire. Son deuxième propriétaire, un certain M. Bourgois en prend possession en mai 1967, elle affiche alors 42,640 km. Ce dernier, résidant la majorité de l’année en Afrique jusqu’en 1990, gardait cette 2600 à son domicile parisien dans le 16eme arrondissement. La voiture fut d’abord entretenue en concession puis par un spécialiste. En 1979, le propriétaire déménage à Saint-Raphaël, le suivi est alors fait par un garage local connaissant bien le modèle. En 1988, le moteur est ouvert et complètement révisé par le spécialiste Europe Garage à Muy, le compteur affichait alors 104,000 km. En 1991, des travaux de tôlerie, peinture et sellerie sont effectués sur la voiture. En 2006, M. Bourgois cède la voiture au troisième propriétaire parisien, qui entreprend notamment la révision intégrale de la culasse chez le spécialiste Espace Century. Le propriétaire déménage peu après à Rome où il utilise la voiture jusqu’en 2009, date à laquelle il rentre à Paris en ramenant la voiture par la route. C’est en 2017 qu’il la cède à notre collectionneur d’italienne qui fera repeindre la voiture dans le même coloris blanc qu’elle portait précédemment. L’important dossier accompagnant la voiture comprend de nombreuses factures qui étayent l’histoire limpide de cette 2600 Spider.

Aujourd’hui dans un très bel état général et accompagnée de son très rare hard-top, cette 2600 est une des rares voitures de son époque dont on connaît toute l’histoire et qui n’a jamais été arrêtée sur de longues périodes. Cette 2600 correspond précisément à l’exigence des collectionneurs à la recherche d’une voiture avec une histoire suivie et bien entretenue.

This 2600 Spider was supplied new on 16 July 1964 to its first owner. Its second owner, a M. Bourgois, acquired it in May 1967, when it had 42,640km on the clock. He spent most of the year in Africa until 1990, but kept the 2600 at his home in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The car was maintained in the dealer network and then by a specialist. In 1979, its owner moved to Saint-Raphaël, where the car was looked after by a local garage which knew the model well. In 1988, with the odometer reading 104,000km, the engine was opened up and thoroughly overhauled by the specialist Europe Garage in Muy. In 1991, work was carried out on the metalwork, paint and upholstery. In 2006, M. Bourgois sold the car to its third Parisian owner, who had the cylinder head completely overhauled by the specialist Espace Century. Soon afterwards, its new owner moved to Rome, where he used the car until 2009, when he returned to Paris, driving the car back. In 2017, he sold the car to our Italian client, who had the car repainted in the same shade of white in which it had previously been finished. The substantial history file with the car includes numerous bills which confirm the clear history of this 2600 Spider. 

In excellent overall condition today and with its very rare hardtop, this 2600 is one of the few cars from this era whose full history is known and that has not been laid up for long periods of time. It corresponds exactly to the requirements of collectors looking for a well-maintained car with a continuous history.
